Living trust or probate
Probate by state
A funded revocable living trust lets the successor trustee handle assets titled to the trustee. Open a state for the court, the fee rule, the small-estate figure, tax, and how spouses hold property.

Questions
The answers below use the same statute and court pages as the state guides.
What is on each state page?
Each page states the probate path, fees, the small-estate procedure, estate or inheritance tax, and how spouses hold property, with the statute or court page linked.
How does the probate cost calculator get its number?
The calculator multiplies a statutory schedule printed on that state's page. When the statute sets no percentage, the calculator returns no dollar fee.
